My name is Priscila Chagas and I'm from Brazil. I've been in Vancouver since March 2011 and I decided to live here for one year to learn about Canadian culture and enjoy a new life experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and I chose this career because I'm really interested in how the connections between people happen. I'm working as a Human Resources Intern at Vancouver Internships and I'm responsible for helping with all the processes related to the ESL version of our SIP (Student Internship Program).
The SIP is a great program for ESL students because it provides them with the opportunity to improve their English, meet people from different parts of the world, know a little bit more about Canadian culture and also have a professional work experience in a different environment.
Also, this experience increases their knowledge about their fields and can help them to get a good job when they go back to their countries.
